We subsequently organized the 1st ever Women’s Health Walks themed: “Celebrating a Healthy Woman” that attracted more than 800 girls, ladies and women from different communities across the country.
Our chief guest was Hon. Maggie Kigozi from the Uganda Investment Authority.We attracted male participants from national media fraternities like Joseph Kigozi from NBS TV.
Community Health / Medical Camps
We are core organizers of health camps for girls and women to provide them with friendly services like Sexual Reproductive Health, Nutrition awareness, Menopause treatment to older women and HIV counseling and testing.
Our previous camps have reached more than 25,000 girls and women from 10 communities.
Women’s Health Summit:
Graced by Her Royal Highness Queen Sylvia Nagginda the Nnabagereka of Buganda Kingdom; we shared important information on Menopause challenges, Domestic violence, conducted practical exercises as well as networking with other important women in our communities, the likes of Hon Matembe and Hon Maggie Kigozi.
Through the Summit, we form support groups of women to curb the different challenges women face within their communities.
Women’s Health Foundation is an integral part of Her Royal Highness Queen Sylvia Nagginda the Nnabagereka of Buganda Kingdom program of the Ekisaakate that aims at building the young girls from different communities into women with the provision of day-to-day skills for respect and support of their fellows in their communities.
WHF are the leaders in provision of Ergonomics to help the perform well without damaging the spine, Sexual Reproductive Health and HIV/AIDS education among the young girls.
