ER is committed to serving community who have suffered with bone related medical conditions through improving their quality of life.
We aim at encouraging women and all our patients to age actively. Through a combination of direct service, education, training, policy development and consulting physicians and broader community, we serve as a critical voice in changing prevailing beliefs and attitudes about exercise.
Our staff treats all physiotherapy conditions such as neurological, musculoskeletal conditions, Gynecological and obstetrics, rehabilitation programs.
Cardiac exercise classes
This program focusses on training patients with hypertension, diabetes and open heart surgeries.We run an eight weeks program with the aim to improve on blood circulation, strengthening muscle power, reduction of stress
hence improving their quality of life.
Antenatal and post natal Care
At WHF, we intervene during antenatal care where we provide pregnant women with exercises on pelvic floor muscles, low back
prevention and circulatory exercises to reduce on edema.
On Postnatal Care
We train women how to perform pelvic floor exercise to strengthen the bladder to avoid urine incontinence,
urgency of urinating, vaginal prolapse/collapse, uterus prolapse, fitness exercises, posture and back care techniques, ergonomic trainings, awareness on post natal depression and nutrition advise, .
WHF is also involving men in women’s health.
Through our community rehabilitation programs such as workshops, we teach women the preventative measures of most of the medical conditions before they occur such as Non communicable diseases(NCDs) like stroke, heart diseases etc. Programing through our office is focusing on changing cultural norms that believes in passive aging; we intervene by sensitizing the women about the importance of staying active.
The volunteers available at ER vary depending on the opportunity you are seeking. Examples include; registering women and men who attend the workshop, mobilization when needed and, advertising program and help during community workshops.
