We offer a range of services including: training programs for trainer of trainees (TOT), community workshops that involve education programs on menopausal health challenges, prevention programs. We invite you to contact us to learn about what we offer at WHF to work to create a healthy community.
This program is spear geared by a Physiotherapist and her team.
CRP is committed to serving community with education programs on bone health, heart health, neurological health, HIV awareness, Male involvement in women’s health, sexual health, postpartum depression, nutrition aiming at improving their quality of life. We aim at sensitizing women, youths and men on women’s health issues. Through a combination of direct service, education, training, policy development, advocacy, fundraising events. We also bring on board expertise in the medical areas above and consulting physicians and broader community, we serve as a critical voice in changing prevailing beliefs and attitudes about exercise and nutrition.
Bone health services:
Our staff treats all bone related conditions such as osteoporosis, osteoarthritis, low back pain, post bone surgery, osteomyelitis in consultation with the orthopedic surgeon on board.
We sensitize the community about the preventative measures and how to manage the long term bone problems, counselling is done as.
Heart health services:
This program focusses on training patients with hypertension, diabetes and open heart surgeries.
During our community workshops, we sensitize women about the risk factors, causes and preventative measures of coronary heart diseases, high blood pressure, diabetes and other heart diseases.
We run an eight weeks program with the aim to improve on blood circulation, strengthening muscle power, reduction of stress hence improving their quality of life.
At WHF, we sensitize women about the most common neurological conditions for example stroke, head injuries, neuropathy, radiculopathy and other neurological related conditions, causes, the risk factors of and the type of rehabilitation needed such as physiotherapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy etc.
First Aid training for stroke: We train community members how to help a stroke patient when a cerebral vascular accident has occurred mainly manual handling of the patient.
Through our community rehabilitation programs such as workshops, we teach women the preventative measures of most of the medical conditions before they occur such as Non communicable diseases(NCDs) like stroke, heart diseases etc. Programing through our office is focusing on changing cultural norms that believes in passive aging; we intervene by sensitizing the women about the importance of staying active.
The volunteers available at CRP vary depending on the opportunity you are seeking. Examples include; registering women and men who attend the workshop, mobilization when needed and, advertising program and help during community workshops.
